On the afternoon of Tuesday, June 5, 2018, Liesel Imber Hunter, surrounded by loved ones, made her way over the Great Barrier Reef to the Rainbow Bridge.
Liesel was born on November 27, 1954 in California to Arthur and Scottie Imber. She graduated from Skyline High School in 1973 and then the University of Utah where she received her BS degree. Liesel worked for over thirty years in the insurance industry for Zions Bank, Grant Hatch & Assoc., and Insurance Concepts. She enjoyed many hobbies including being a huge Trekkie, scuba diving, reading, shopping and gardening. She took pride in her appearance and was rarely seen without jewelry. As an adventure seeker, Liesel loved to travel. She adored the peace and majesty of Jackson Hole, Wy, the Caribbean, Mexico and Peru. She had a wild love affair with food! Liesel provided a loving home for special needs animals including ferrets and cats. Liesel fought metastatic colorectal cancer since 2006. She had unconditional love, was enthusiastic about living, and was kind to everybody! She is preceded in death by her father and mother and survived by her brother Kenneth Imber (Michelle), nephews; USMC SSgt. Michael Roennebeck (Haley) and Nicholas Imber. She leaves behind her childhood best friend Cris (Rich), daughter Katy, sister-like friends; April, Michelle, Monica, along with numerous other loved ones.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, June 22, 2018 from 4:00-8:00 PM at the clubhouse of Shadow Ridge Condos - 7180 South 1300 East.
