"Loving Mother, Daughter, Sister and Aunt"
Janeen Howick Brown, age 61, returned to her Father in Heaven February 29, 2016. She left her earth family peacefully and passed on to the loving arms of her mother and grandmother who preceded her.
Jan was born May 7,1954 to Bud and Evelyn Howick in Salt Lake City. She was raised in a great loving family who rally around at all the problems or celebrations.
Jan's life was one of loving and caring. Her lifework as a CNA was caring for older people. Her compassion was great for bathing, caring for every need and befriending them. 
Jan's great love was her three sons and she lived a life of unconditional caring for them. She was the best mother she could be.
Jan's compassion was such that she never forgot a birthday, holiday for every member of the family. Family was important to her. She loved the Lord Jesus Christ and her Ward. Her Savior was important to her. One of Jan's great blessings was the day she received her endowments in the Salt Lake Temple. She also loved serving at the temple.
Jan was skillful in the craft items she enjoyed doing. She was like her mother in this ability. Her cakes were decorated fantastically. Her other great loves were Christmas, Bumble Bees, and her loving dog Magey.
The family admire and love the great relationship she had with her brother Scott and his wife Laurie. She loved their shared vacations, activities and visits.
Jan was preceded in death by her mother, Evelyn A. Howick. She is survived by her father, Douglas "Bud" Howick; sons, Dane, Aaron, Jordon; brother Scott(Laurie); sisters Joan(Les), Shelley(Ken) and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at the Winder 8th Ward, 1361 East 4000 South, SLC at 11:00 am. Friends and family may call from 9:30am to 10:30 am prior to services. Interment: Mountain View Memorial Estates.
