Leslie Harris Boulton
August 30, 1955 - March 8, 2025
St. George, Utah – Our dear wife, mother, and nana, Leslie Harris Boulton, passed peacefully in her sleep on the morning of Saturday, March 8, 2025. Her body gently released her vibrant spirit into a far better place. Born on August 30, 1955, in Salt Lake City, Utah, Leslie was the second daughter of Russell C. and Janice T. Harris. She grew up in East Millcreek, attending Sherman Elementary, Evergreen Junior High, and Skyline High School. She then pursued her lifelong passion for music at Southern Utah University.
Leslie met her sweetheart and eternal companion, Chuck, and their first date took them to the cabin he had helped build with his father. This cabin would later become a cherished family retreat, a place where countless treasured memories were made. Leslie and Chuck were married at the Heritage House in Salt Lake City, Utah, on November 30, 1978. They were later sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake City Temple by Marion D. Hanks.
Throughout her life, Leslie served in countless church callings, but her greatest joys came from her time as the Primary President and Primary Chorister. Leslie had various jobs, but where she truly thrived was working as a PBX and dispatch operator at Jordan Valley Hospital and Dixie Regional Medical Center.
In January 2000, Leslie and her family moved to St. George, Utah. Though it was difficult for her to leave her home and family in Salt Lake City, moving to St. George turned out to be one of the best decisions they ever made. Leslie worked at Tuacahn High School, where her two youngest children attended and graduated. She built lifelong friendships with the staff, faculty, and especially the students, who affectionately called her “Mama Boulton.”
Leslie will be deeply missed by her family, especially her eight grandsons and granddaughter. She will be fondly remembered during holidays and special events, particularly when dyeing Easter eggs, dressing up for Halloween, and enjoying Chinese food on Christmas Eve.
Leslie is preceded in death by her parents, Russ and Janice Harris; her father and mother-in-law, Bud and Florence Boulton; and her brother-in-law, Terry Hilton. She is survived by her husband, Charles Jay Boulton; her three children: Nicholas (Micah) Boulton, Brianna Boulton, and Matthew Boulton; and her nine grandchildren: Weston, Talmage, Beckham, Ryder, Tucker, Bryson, Anthony Joseph, Leighton, and Porter. She is also survived by her siblings: Stephanie (Mike) Lund, Mark (Jeanette) Harris, Melinda (Dave) Pitcher, and Valerie Harris, as well as her sisters-in-law Kathie (Gary) Thayne, Teri Ann (Bill) Boulter, Karen (Frank) Johnson, and 26 nieces and nephews, and numerous great-nieces and nephews who adored her, and whom she loved with all her heart.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 15, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. in the Bloomington Hills Stake Center, 1130 East Brigham Road, St. George, Utah. Visitations will be held on Friday evening, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 West St. George Blvd. and on Saturday, prior to services, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Stake Center.

So saddened to learn of Leslie's passing. I have so many wonderful memories of singing with her in choirs at Skyline and the U of U. She had such a big heart, was such a good listener, and such a great friend. RIP, beautiful soul!
