Julie Marie Gerrard Urie 1955 ~ 2006 Julie Marie Gerrard Urie passed away May 16, 2006 in Hillsboro, Oregon after several years of poor health. Born August 19, 1955 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Leo Stevens and L. Geraldine Self Gerrard. She grew up in the East Millcreek area and graduated from Skyline High School. She attended Utah State University and Brigham Young University receiving a BS in Social Work. As an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints she served a welfare services mission in Tonga. She married Wayne H. Urie, son of Hurschell and Mary Urie, on November 11, 1981 in the Salt Lake Temple. Julie lived and raised a family in the Salt Lake City, UT area, Vernal, Utah and Hillsboro, Oregon. She loved music and serving others, singing in school and church choirs and fulfilling many church positions. She is survived by her husband Wayne; children, Bryson, Michael, Christopher, Jillaney; mother L. Geraldine Gerrard; sister Linda (Rick) Schriner; brother David (Karen) Gerrard. Preceded in death by her father Leo Gerrard; sister Joan; brother Lynn. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 25, 2006 at 12:00 Noon at Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Chapel, 1007 West South Jordan Pkwy (10600 So.), South Jordan, UT.
