Dave Layton

Summary

A very special son, brother, grandson and uncle returned to his Father-in-Heaven, January 31, 1997. David Brent Layton, died peacefully of heart failure in Carlsbad, California at the age of 42.
Dave was born Dec. 18, 1954 to Brent G. Layton and Peggy Thomas Layton in Cherry Point, N. C. He provided all of us with life, love and laughter. After graduating from Skyline High School and attending college, Dave worked hard and was successful in the Health Spa Industry receiving countless sales awards. He served as Western Regional Manager for Spa Fitness Centers before moving to Calif. to become part owner and manager of First Class Fitness in Oceanside. Married but later divorced, Dave resided in Carlsbad, Calif. until his death.

Your mom and dad, brothers Scott (Chris) and Brent (Mary Lou), Grandma Carol "Honey" Layton Miller, nieces and nephews Jordan, Taylor, Ashley, Lauren, Brent Thomas and Emily, as well as your friends, look forward to the time when we'll be together again.

The eternal flame you lit in all our hearts will warm us forever. Farewell for now.

Please join us in a celebration of Dave's life at Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary, 2350 East 1300 South, Wed. Feb. 5th, 11 a.m., where friends may call one hour prior. Entombment, Larkin Sunset Lawn Mausoleum.

How saddened I was to recently learn of your passing as well as your brother Scott’s. Though we lost touch after school I will always have fond memories of you and some of our escapades. Farewell, you will always be my friend.
